The Clever Dweller Story

Clever Dweller began by helping friends and family in the Lawrence, Kansas area achieve some of their own goals and interests when it came to upgrading and adding value to their homes through smart home products.

After my wife and I moved into our own dream home in Lawrence we wanted to make some improvements. We began working with electrical, security, and audio contractors and quickly realized that some of these contractors weren't exactly upfront with the costs and were vague on what exactly we were receiving for their services. We decided we could probably do some of these projects ourselves and began researching what products were best when it came to do-it-yourself security, audio, and other types of smart home automation products. There were some growing pains, but over time we learned what products we liked, how to install them properly, and most of all how to maximize their potential benefits. Many visitors to our home would quickly notice the advantages of such products and asked us to help them install the products in their homes, which we were happy to do!

Through word of mouth marketing we began receiving more and more calls from individuals (now our friends) interested in an our consultation.  Everyone appreciated our upfront approach to the costs of the products and installation and suggested we start a side business. We decided to take the leap, and Clever Dweller was born!
